Well,
This week was ok. Nothing too special. I'm sad because I cannot see the leaves and the mountains change colors like I'm used to this time of year. That's probably my most favorite thing. Last year it went by so fast and then Winter was over...but it all seemed like a weak Summer or something. It just doesn't get cold here. It's strange how quickly September went by. October will be fast, too. Lots of meetings and General Conference. Plus, we should be having a couple baptisms.
George, a 19 year old young man was baptized yesterday. I talked to George about 3 weeks ago. It was his first experience with the Mormons. Cool. DJ, another young man was baptized on Friday. I taught him back in Woodcrest. The other Elders finished him off. This Zone is struggling a bit to baptize. We've only had 3 this month. Other Zones average at about 4 or 5. But some zones just kill it. They'll get 20 something. Impressive!
Talk to you next week.

hey!
So like...I'm just sitting here, on a mission, in California. Mom, the sd card you sent back was empty. . . I have heard that sometimes they can get erased during delivery or through the mail system somehow. Darn. I would still like to see the pictures. My back hasn't improved completely but it's a little less painful. I have a cold now, so that's fun. President Smart has a cold, too. We are "cold buddies". Ha! that was dumb.

Well, we should be having a couple baptisms in October. Speaking of which, October...my 21st birthday...no thanks...
Halloween...I don't think I'll need any candy. Just send pictures of the family all dressed up or whatever. That'll be just fine! I'm coming up on my 18 month mark. That's weird. I guess it feels like it has been that long. Sometimes longer...My companion has been out almost 21 months now. I'm right behind him. These last 6 months are supposed to be my time to shine - according to Elder Bott from the district videos. We'll just see about that.

Um, I have been practicing a song on the piano for our Zone Conference with Elder Richards of the 70. I'm playing "abide with me" Sister Todd will be singing solo! The practices sound good, but I still need to work on the piano part a lot. It has been nice to sit at the piano a little more than usual. And I have been asked to play the organ at Stake Conference at the end of the transfer. Wooo! Also, another musical number "The Lord is My Shepherd." Arranged by Sally DeFord. A quartet! It's pretty complex for a bunch of kids. We'll figure it out. I'll just need extra time at the piano again. :)

No new mission experiences or amazing stories, just same old stuff. It's all good though. Nothing bad. Sometimes I want to go rollerblading again or longboarding. Yeah...Longboarding. I miss that. I hope my back will let me longboard again. My double chin will probably stop me instead. Like a parachute. Can you imagine that? Or I'll just break my board from being so heavy. Anyway, thanks for the emails. Sounds like things are good back home. I wish I could see the Ward's missionaries. K thanks bye!

So like, these are some pics from the temple and our morning work outs. Elder Kava runs around the park while I stretch and take pictures. It's really pretty in the morning. So mommy, um about my digital picture frame. I don't know if I already mentioned it, but I lost the cord that connects it to power, so it's useless. I don't know if you can buy just the cord from somewhere or online?? That would be good.

Um...this week was ok I guess. According to our numbers, we didn't really do much. I don't feel like we aren't working, infact, I feel like we are doing all that we can. But some weeks we are lucky, and some weeks we are not. At church, there were 3 investigators that came. That's decent. We should have had 5. Being responsible for the salvation of others for 2 years straight, is quite a challenge. If we mess up planning, or if we don't follow the spirit, we could be risking the opportunity for others to be free from sin! A terrible thought! Oh the horror! A lot of the people we talk to daily, speak spanish only, and we give their info to the spanish Elders and they take over. 3 of the people we have contacted are getting baptized this month in the Spanish ward. Good thing I know a little Spanish huh? jk, I can't take the credit. But it's good to know we have good Spanish Elders. ;)

I was reading in Acts 13 and I had to re-read verses 2 and 3. It seems, as though the missionaries in this story (Saul and Barnabas) were set apart by the laying on of hands, just like today. Neat! It also mentioned that they fasted and prayed in preparation for their missions. Great! At least that's what I got out of it.
Sorry I don't have much more to say. Maybe we'll have another miracle next week. Bye!

Hey,

So...numbers were bad this week. Like Hannah Montanna always says "Everybody has those days". Haha...
Uh...So first, I have to say sorry because I forgot the stories I was supposed to tell today. I didn't expect us to email today, either. Our schedule has been packed. Zone Leaders hardly get a break.
I guess I could recount an experience from last week...I just remembered. So...We had an appointment with a man named Adam. We gave him and his family a blessing. They were all crying. We testified again and again. We invited them to be baptized. Adam's words were "Yes, I've always wanted to be baptized Mormon." I wonder how many investigators world-wide said that after their first invite. Pretty cool. We've gone back to teach, but something has always come up. We even had to cancel an appointment tonight because we are having dinner with the Stake President...I'd MUCH rather teach Adam. But a Zone Leader's gotta do what a Zone Leader's gotta do.

Transfers: Elder Kava and I are still together. A few missionaries got moved around but nothing too different. Being Zone Leader for 3 transfers so far has taught me a lot. Going on 4...I wonder what'll happen next. But that's in 6 weeks. I've got time. We don't really have any baptisms coming up...that's different. Haha. We should be getting a few by the end of the month, but it's not for sure. I'll let you know.
I got my hair cut. I'm fatter than I've ever been. It's gross. I'm soft and out of shape. I can't exercise because of my back. All I can really do, is stretch and take pills.
ok time to go, bye!

Well, because of labor day, the libraries were closed. And our schedule is too full to fit enough time to email in. So hopefully I will be able to combine this week with next, because I've got some good stories kinda...I think.

Yeah. Anyway, bye.
